Hi Dougie, saw you in the 1980's in Dordrecht, Holland, in a concert where only a few people showed up because the roads where really lethal. We made it through snow and ice, knowing it was going to be worth is, and so it was. We were blown away, realised we could never sing and play at your level, but we've been singing 'He'll come rolling home' ever since. Met you at the Edinburgh Folk Festival where you had just performed with Silly Wizard. You told us they were looking for a fiddler with 'it' and whe thought they had actually found him. Through the years, we've always
been singing 'Caledonia', 'This love will carry' and 'Over my mountain'(I live on the mythical mountain of Sliabh na mBamn, Ireland), always realising that we could never match your renditions (turns out no one really can), but still enjoying the sheer beauty of the songs. Great to see you're still at it! Thank you so much for all the beauty you gave us through so many years. We'd have missed so many great nights without your music.

Dougie, just wondering what brand and model guitar(s) you use when recording and performing. Thanks.
Jennifer:
Dougie uses two Dougie MacLean Signature Guitars made by Glasgow maker Jimmy Moon (Moon Guitars).

Sweet man! Thank you so much for your song Talking with my father. I played it for a whole day just before my mother died. The song, the text, your voice! still move me to the bone. Thank you for your love of life. Elvira
